You may not know it, but only 5% of Hollywood features are directed by women!! That is shocking & embarrassing for a country that claims to have equality for women in the workplace. In order to change the perception of women around this globe we must have more women making films. Film directors are culture creators for the globe. Don’t let apathy get you! Don’t get convinced that women should only make small arthouse & women topic movies. That’s such a pre-1970’s notion. We can make top grossing films! This is an important issue to tackle for true equality.
Your box-office dollars DO make a difference to women-created cinema! Help spread the word!
Episode 11 of the Movies By Women.com video podcast is now out! An exclusive interview with DIRECTOR MARY LAMBERT by PrettyScary.net’s Heidi Martinuzzi for the feature “14 WOMEN”.
